Building Blocks of Literacy with Words in the Wild

Together, we’ll explore how to make morphology accessible to younger children—and how to make grapheme-phoneme inclusive to older students. This session is all about child-centered, engaging instruction that meets learners where they are. Register HERE.

Expect to:

  • Build background knowledge in the “building blocks” of literacy—phonemes, graphemes, morphemes.

  • Take part in hands-on, flexible activities you can use across grade levels

  • Learn how inquiry and play can deepen understanding and make literacy instruction more meaningful

Come prepared to play games, ask questions, and learn in community with fellow educators who are passionate about literacy.

FREE to attend but registration required.

Bonus: This is the perfect warm-up for OLC's upcoming Spring Literacy Institute—a chance to jumpstart your thinking and fill your toolbox. If you haven't already we encourage you to register as they anticipate selling out!
