🧠 📚 Benefits of Bilingualism Workshop Series 📚🧠

Humans are born word scientists — observing, playing with, and responding to language from infancy. Children in dual immersion settings apply those natural skills across two languages, building exceptional metalinguistic awareness along the way. Join EBI and Dr. Alexis Filippini for a two-part series that brings literacy research to life by looking "under the hood" at reading and writing skill development among bilingual learners. You'll leave with concrete strategies to support your child's development as a bilingual “word scientist.”

Building Blocks of Literacy for Early Readers (November 19, 2026)

For families in grades TK-1, this session is an interactive exploration of the “building blocks of literacy”. These building blocks are key linguistic structures that unlock early reading, writing, speaking, and listening, including phonemes, morphemes, syllables, and more. Through hands-on word science explorations, families will gain a deeper understanding of early bilingual literacy development and fun activities to try at home.

Hosted by Escuela Bilingüe Internacional

Refreshments provided.

Free childcare for children over 3 years old and toilet-independent.
